Our Vision

FLAMA’s mission is based in Frank Liu Jr.'s visionary dream to create a music and art focused school for the youth of Houston. Frank possessed a deep understanding of the power of music as a means of education, fostering imagination, and building a strong sense of community.

Based in the 2nd Ward, FLAMA aims to ensure that the youth of the 2nd, 3rd and 5th Wards benefit from the East End’s Cultural District designation by providing quality music and art education in addition to rigorous academics.

Through FLAMA’s strong focus on music, arts, and high-caliber academics, we will ensure our students develop the knowledge base, perseverance, and teamwork skills necessary for success in high school and beyond, all while experiencing the joy of learning.
